I am throwing a surprise birthday party for my mom. Its a Jimmy Buffett theme at 5:00. We are serving Cheeseburgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken Kabobs, Pasta Salad, Potato Salad, and Fruit Kabobs. Approx. 130 adults and 30 kids. I am trying to figure out the meats. How much do I need to prepare of each??

Hi, Stephanie,
Everyone will be hungry, plan for 150 people.
1 burger per person PLUS 1 pound raw boneless skinless chicken for each 4 people. About 50 hot dogs, and don't open them all until you see how they are going.
May I suggest fruit trays instead of kabobs, with just a few kabobs made for decoration? They are a lot of trouble to make and don't keep very well You can put out the cut up fruits with the long bamboo skewers instead of toothpicks and let people assemble their own.
