individual bags of chips or large bags?

we are feeding around 125 people - mostly adults - a open house style graduation.
will it be easier to buy the idividual bags of chips ( assorted flavors) and place them in a basket for people to pick what kind they want, or buy the big bags and have them be self serve from a bowl -
i know the individual bags will cost a little more, and will give variety. but would'nt they be more sanitary then over 100 people reaching in a chip bowl - your thoughts?

It depends on the menu. If it is chips and dips, bowls. If it is sandwiches, bags are OK.
I think worrying about cross contamination, unless you are talking double-dipping, is probably overkill.
