Ceramic Cooktop problems
I have just moved into a new rental property and was so happy to have a ceramic cooktop - no cleaning hassles. But..cooking is much slower ans since I deep fry a lot, it does not help much. It shuts off after a while and then starts again after a while so the oil gets cooled in that time, same with pancakes and all. Is this problem particular to my cooktop or do all give that trouble. It is taking me twice the time to do the cooking!!!! Please help
Unfortunately, this pattern of cycling on and off is the way these tops are designed to work (I use the word "work" very loosely in relation to these tops). Yes, they are much slower. If I were you, I would get a good electric hotplate for deep frying.
