Cracked Glass Stove-Top Safe?
|

Hello,
What is the defintive answer to this question?
I had a service repairman in already and he said to was unsafe, but I didn't get it in writing. If the crack is on or near a burner, is it or is it not safe to cook on?
Thanks,
MiKE v

Mike, crack on or near a burner, not safe to use that area and you risk getting spills into the electronic workings of the stove. It will eventually crack completely.
These tops can be replaced by handy do-it-yourselfers on most of these stoves.
