I recently bought a glass cook top. I really love the way it looks and thought it would be really easy to clean. My husband made breakfast one morning and didn't clean the range after he left. I tried to clean it later on that day and there is a brown ring that I can't get off. I spent $800 on it and I am really upset about it. I tried the cleaner and a razor blade. Any advice? |

If you read the long threads on ceramic cooktops, there are lots of ideas, none of them guaranteed successful, but do read them. The tops are very hard to keep clean; even a dirty outside of a pot can mar them for good. You will probabloy have to learn to get over the upset- this may be the first time, but it will not be the last. The glass tops can be replaced, they cost from 200 to 550 or so. You probably want to wait until it cracks or fuses some foil or plastic, though- youdo know about the fusing issues, right? |
