We are having a reunion dance and plan on offering beer, water and soft drinks. We are having heavy hors d'oeuvres catered but are furnishing the drinks. Could you tell us a reasonable quanity to buy of each beverage? We sure want to be responsible and not have everyone sloshed. Thanks |

Good thinking, as in some states even private party givers are legally liable for the auto mayhem of drunken guests. I have a beverage planning page that will help you with this, remember that it is for a 2-3 hour party and you should increase about 1 drink per person per hour for over 3 hours. Consider some of the fruit-flavored sparkling waters- very festive. www.ellenskitchen.com/bigpots/plan/bevmisc100.html |
