01/22/04 		G B Ratto & Co- gone but not forgotten
When I was in Oakland last year I went by the store's location, and it appears the 100 year old survivor has finally been outpriced by the gentrification of the area, it was replaced by a deli sort of thing. In the past, some of the stores moved out and then moved back as the earthquake retrofits and other improvements were done- so I will chack again next year- what a passing of this wonderful old store.
