Just got a new GE ceramic top oven and it has true convection option. What is this, is it better than regular, and when should I use it? I know NOTHING abt convection cooking. |

This is an oven with a circulating air current. Using convection, it cooks drier, hotter and more evenly than a regular oven, so it is especially great for baking and roasting. So you adapy recipes by dropping the temp at least 25 degrees, shortening the cooking time up to 1/3 and you don't have to move pans around for even browning. There are many good cookbooks specifically for convection cooking and roasting; check your local public library to start. Enjoy! They really are good. |

what is the difference between a covection oven and a true convection oven? |

After convection ovens came out, some ovens such as convertible microwaves came out which had a fan but not full heated air turnover. aaatrue convection just means the oven has full heated air turnover. |
