Best coil type range?

Based on research and our family needs I've decided against replacing our very old Montgomery Ward electric range with a smoothtop.

We don't have access to gas so I plan to upgrade to the best coil-type I can find.

I want a convection oven, self-cleaning, and perhaps a warming oven. I'm not afraid of cleaning the coils...been used to it for years and I don't want to deal with the problems of smoothtops that I've read about on the long thread here.

Any suggestions for a really good coil type?

Separate stove top and oven are a possibility, also.

I suggest you consult consumer reports most current appliance tests, they are reliable and I am not an electric stove user anymore.

Thanks, I've done that...GE, Kenmore and Maytag seem to be up there. Was wondering what other people liked.

If I had the space I'd love to do an induction cooktop with a wall oven but I've got to work with a small galley style kitchen.

GE was recommended to me because of larger number of narrow coils. The heat is easier to control, seems to reduce heat faster. But if you are used to using an electric stove you know how to cook with one already. I think it cooks more evenly also.
I have had a GE for about 20yrs now and am very happy with it.
