Hello..just purchased a 18 quart. I want to make beans and a few other things but not huge quantities. Can I half the recipes I have from the nesco site? If yes, how does that affect cooking time. Thank you for any help you can offer. |

Best to make smaller amounts in a roaster pan or casserole that fits inside the oven, like a regular oven. Bean cooking time does not decrease with smaller amounts in smaller pans. Tough little critters... Best to do overnight soak and drain, fresh liquid for cooking. |
