I have a prefered stock pot and one night we heard a big bang and the lid was dented and the top of the pot at the rim split,it is at the rolled rim and a fraction below...Can I still cook with this pot? |

I have a large preferred stock pot and one night heard a loud bang,and the lid was dented and at the very top of the rim it split and a fraction below the rim. Can I still use the pot to cook in? |

Yes, but do not fill near the crack, and do not pour over it. |
