Hello Ellen.First I want to thank you for a wonderful informative site!I am planning a luau for 50 persons and here is what I plan on making. Iwant to make sure the quantities are correct. 20lbs of chicken breast for teriyaki (sliced or chopped) 15lbs of pork loin for teriyaki pork(sliced or chopped) 28 cups white rice (4lbs dry) 28 cups of fried rice (4lbs dry) 10 lbs yakisoba noodles with veggies 20lbs pork butt-will shred and make kalua pork 10lbs sweet and sour meatballs 3.5lbs of uncooked pasta for macaroni salad various fruits Thanks again! |

Duane, what fun. This is a lot of meat for this many people. I would do just 10 pounds each for the teriyaki chicken and pork. Consider some kind of green salad or vegetable. |
