I think I searched your site. Can you suggest a book or source for info that I can make TV dinners from beef, pork, turkey, chciken or other meats with mashed potatoes and gravy or pasta with vegetables for personal use? TNX |

Hi Howard, This is what is called once a month cooking, OAMC, bulk cooking or freezer cooking, I have a lot of recipes posted that are designated freezeable especially in the Big Pots section. You will want the freezable mashed potatoes, for instance. There are also extensive pages on how to setup and shop for the cooking sessions and how long various stuff can freeze. If you will put the phrase "once a month cooking" into google, you will get a bunch of supporting sites and recipes. As a single person, I often freeze the separate courses in the little quart size freezer baggies, so I can mix and match, skip the carbs some days, etc. You freeze them flat, then they will stand up like books and take less space. Also, you notice that most of the frozen entrees have some kind of sauce or gravy on the meat, this is because they tend to dry out during the reheating. |
