For punches, I use ginger ale instead of plain carbonated water, or champagne! Also, apricot nectar or Muana Loa brand guave/passionfruit are very pleasant alternatives for part of the juice. In addition, lemon sherbet makes a great "ice block" for keeping the punch cold.

Do provide one sugar free alternative such as coffee or unsweetened ice tea, a lot of people can't or don't eat sugar.

The recipe I think you want is also called "Slushy Punch", and here is a site that has this recipe and links to many other punch recipes, as well as how to make an ice ring:

I need an easy golden punch recipe for my parents 50th anniversary. Hope you can help with an easy to do punch without pineapple - I'm allergic to it.

Gena, the links above will help you. Pasically, you can substitute passionfruit or apricot nectar with lemon juice for the fruity tang of the pineapple.

Wedding Punch
I am looking for a punch to serve at my daughter's wedding in April. Something elegant, not too sweet. We are having the reception at a local country club just beginning to do banquets and they forgot to think about serving punch! Thanks for your help!

The dolgen slushy punch above is good, or how about a margarita punch? You don't mention whether or not you want alcohol in it? Check the links above.

No email address? Here is a pretty golden punch.Remember, pulpless if you are going to use a fountain.

GOLDEN FRUIT PUNCH

1 (12 oz) can orange juice concentrate
1 (12 oz) can lemonade concentrates
Cold water to mix the concentrates
1 (46 oz) can unsweetened pineapple juice
1 quart apricot or guava nectar
2 cups unsweetened grapefruit juice
2/3 cups sugar
1 2 liter bottle gingerale or lemon/lime soda
Orange and lemon slices for garnish, or an ice ring, or sherbet float.
This recipe takes kindly to rum if you are so inclined.

Combine fruit juices and sugar in large containers, see hint. Stir until sugar dissolves. Chill. To serve place in punch bowl and add gingerale/soda and ice ring, which has been made from the punch mixture. YIELD: 2-gal of base punch

Try mixing up each fruit concentrate separately in a pitcher and pour half of each mixture into two gallon milk containers, then dividing the rest of the juices in half. This makes mixing, handling, and pouring much easier. Also sugar mixture may be mixed separately using a little of the water to make a simple syrup first.

Here is the recipe for the GOLDEN PUNCH with bananas:

Golden Party Punch

4 cups sugar
6 cups water
5 ripe bananas, mashed
2 (12-ounce) cans frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 (12-ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 (46-ounce) can pineapple juice
7 (28-ounce/quart) bottles lemon-lime soda, chilled
Dissolve sugar in water; add mashed bananas and juice concentrate; mix well. Ladle into a large freezer container (such as a plastic bowl), leaving 1-inch of head space. Cover tightly and freeze.
To serve: Thaw fruit juice mixture enough to crush to a slushy consistency and place in punch bowl. Pour the lemon-lime soda over mixture and stir gently.
Makes 3 gallons- about 60 servings.

Note: Freeze maraschino cherries or berries in ice cubes and float on top of punch, if desired, for garnish.
