07/31/11 		I'm in charge of a back to school BBQ for my son's elementary school- how many hamburgers and hot dogs do i need for approx 90 people? also chips and drinks? thanks so much!!!

07/31/11 		Elementary kids don't each much, but you also have to count all the teachers and other adults also.
So, how many are kids and how many are adults? Write back.

For this size adult group, I do 90 burgers and buy 90 hot dogs (actually, I buy Polish sausage or kielbasa, adults like them much better), but I only cook about 2/3 the dogs until I see how they are going.

1 ounce of potato chips or 1 1/2 ounces corn chips per person if there are other sides like slaw and pasta salad. 1/4 cup salsa per person is a great dip.
