04/26/11 		I need to know if I can cook brown beans (pinto) in a electic roaster. If so, how long and at what tempture? We are also serving fried potatoes can these be cooked in the elelctic oven?

04/26/11 		Neoma, the roaster cooks beans as if it were a large stockpot; you bring to a boil, turn down to around 300, cover, stir occasionally. About 6-8 pounds dry beans is a safe load. You cannot fry potatoes in the roaster, but it can keep them warm; you will lose most of the crispness.
