I usually roast turkey in my electric roaster as I need my oven for other baking, etc. A friend told me she loves the oven bags. Can you use an oven bag in an electric roaster? |

It is quite hazardous, since if it touches a wall it can melt and stick forever. That said, if you have a smallish turkey and place it carefully, you can do it. |

There are bags made especially for your roaster. I have to get mine from my local restaurant. We cook soup for about a thousand ppl every year and as long as you put the bag in the cold roaster, add the food and then turn the roaster on, we have had no problem with sticking. The trick is to keep it cold, until the food is in and then add heat. It's a miracle for cleanup. |
