We are smoking our own pork loins for our wedding reception. We have heard to get 1/4 pound person and 1/2 pound person. We will be slicing in and putting it in roasters to keep warm once done. How many pounds of meat should we get. We are having a major debate on this, I think err on the plus side and get the 1/2 pound, he is thinking money and only wants to get 1/4 pound. Thanks for any help!! |

You need 1/2 pound raw to get 4-5 ounces smoked; if you get 4 ounces raw, you will have about a 2 ounce portion- not a party size.. |
