cold luncheon for Graduation open house, expecting to feed 125 people.party time is set for 12:00 -? (close family will stay for lunch and dinner) this is what i have planned for, i still have 3 weeks so i can add/decrease as needed.
15lbs shaved deli ham
5lbs greek pasta salad
sandwich condiments - 1 head of shreded letace, 1 3 lbs bag of onions, mayo, mustard & butter.
100 servings of cake ( lemon poppyseed, red velvet marble)
12- 12 pks of soda ( 144 cans)
do i really need the chips? will the pasta salads be enough of a filler? we are only expecting about 20 children, and 10 teenagers - the rest will be adults. Tina |

Many areas look good, but there are some gaps and cautions: Meat and cheese- OK but for one meal per person, You want to add a little for the number you expect to stay 2 meals. Pasta and salad. For 125 people, I would start with at least 8-9 bounds dry pasta total, which will make at least 16-18 pounds made salad, I think you may be short. For slaw type salads, I allow at least 20 pounds per 100. Sandwich condiments are way short. See the sandwich event page for condiments per 100. The rest of this section looks OK. I would probably figure about a gallon of pickles and offer at least 1 bag of chips per expected. guest; they do keep. You will not have any fruit left. Desserts are OK, I might do twice as many brownies; people really like brownies. Beverages are short. Use the beverage planning page and for the folks who are staying 2 meals, count them as 2 people for beverages. Congratulations and have fun. |

update i wanted to update in case anyone was interested. we ended up with less food than expected, time constraints limited how much i got prepared ( allow 3 or 4 more hours than you think you need to set up a party and hall!) our approx totals were - we fed about 130 people 12lbs pasta salad - 4 large bags of chips - 2 lbs baby carrots, 4lbs brorc,1 large head califlower 3lbs starwberrries, 1 cantalope, 2 large pineapples 10lbs assorted cheese, 20 lbs deli cold cuts 1 head of lettace, 5 tomatoes, 2 lbs cherry tomatoes 1 jar mayo, 1/2 jars of brown and yellow mustard 10 - 12 pks soda, only about 20 bottles of water 100 servings of cake, 45 cupcakes, 1 pan rice crispy treats 1/2 sheet brownies, 12 dz rolls, 45 mini crossiants , and 2 large bags of m&ms, 2 dz cookies.
