friends have asked me to prepare the late lunch @ there wedding not sure of amount i will need 300 guest there menue will be (sandwiches with 3 diffrent fillings, vegtable platters how much would i need, fruit platters how much do i need, cheese& pickles platters and im almost sure this stuff can be made up the day b4 your help would be greatly appreciated. ASAP...thanx |

Read the sandwich event page for atarters- most sandwiches cannot be made more than 24 hours in advance, and there are ideas on what to do about that. The veggie tray page and the fruit tray page give amounts for 100 including prep and storage, dips and dressings, you would use 3 times the amount. Cheese sliced 16-20 pounds per 100 people. I would add 200 servings of potato and 200 servings of pasta salad- these CAN be made ahead and would fill out the table. PLEASE read the article on catering your own wedding dinner. All these links are at the top of the main cook talk page. You need at least three cooks and 12-15 servers to set up, serve and clean up for 300 people. |
