I am having a simple birthday party for my aunt who will be 90. Birthday cake, punch, nuts, cheesestraws. I am using plastic plates, forks and cups. My question is about mixing plastic and silver: I can borrow a silver punch bowl or rent a glass one; I can use silver trays or borrow glass ones. What is your opinion on mixing silver and plastic? Thanks |

I would probably get the more expensive and larger plastic ware that is the size of regular flatware, instead of the white picnic stuff; get clear plastic plates and cups. Flatware is available in clear, which would look OK with either silver or glass. If I had white, I would probably choose glass. |
