I can't believe in all my years I've never done this, but I'm having a traditional burgers and dogs event for 200 or so folks. I've planned to grill burgers and hot dogs (with some lower calorie veggie or turkey burgers for calorie counters like myself). I've got volunteers to cover the grilling and making sure the salads, etc. are properly chilled and kept filled for the 3 or 4 hous of the event. I just don't know how to estimate how much catsup/mustard/relish/sauerkraut to go with 200-250 people's worth of burgers/dogs. I saw the post on sandwiches for 100, but it doesn't really quite answer my question. Thanks for an excellent website!!! ciao bella!! |

Hi, Mary, The condiment table in the sandwich event page is the best I can do for you- I would omit the lettuce and tomato, use the larger amount of mustard and ketchup, use mild banana pepper rings for the "olives" section (these could be omitted)and use the rest (using enough for the 200 or 250, since the table is for 100)- then add 2 gallons of hot dog chili and 3-5 pounds of shredded cheddar to make "conies" possible. |
