storing baked beans

can you freeze homemade baked beans? I'm afraid that if I try, the consistancy of the beans will become mealy. However, I can't can them because I don't have a pressure cooker; they have meat (bacon) in them, which I know you need a pressure cooker for.

Would you suggest freezing? or something else?

Freezing is safer than canning for low acid foods such as meat and beans. If you bake with the salt, sugar and tomato in them from the start, they will be much firmer/ chewier and tolerate the freezing with less texture change- just why you don't start with all that in there when you are going to eat them right away.
