we will be having baked chicken white and dark meat, seasoned rice, old fashioned pear salad.green beans, yams, rolls dessert(pound cake),birthday cake and ice tea. can you tell me how much food to purchase? party is on may 10,2008 |

All these items are covered in the plan for 100 lists and with an older party you do not need to add any extra for a fudge factor. Use potato figure for the yams. For example, you need about 83 pounds of chicken quarters,l but if it is pieces, only about 70 pounds, because they have less bone and backbone in the packages. There is a dessert planning page and a beverage planning page, also. Look them over, post an initial estimate, and I will be glad to check it for you. |

just checking to make sure this going to be the right amount for party 4 gallons#10cans green beans 40#yams 6# rice 80#quarters, 40 white and 40 dark 4#gallon pear *note sure about the amount of letttuce to use for pear salad. 10 dozen rolls 3 pound cake 10gallons tea |

You will have some rice and some yams left. I am unclear about the pound cake amount? A one pound cake only serves 10-12. |

should sheredded lettuce be used for pear salad or just lettuce. how big of piece will the cake be. |

Usual- a leaf under the pear. When you cut a poundcake loaf into 12, it just makes a regular slice. |
