I have a crock pot recipe for an eye round roast that has cream of mushroom soup and beef broth added to it. It says to cook it on low for 8 hrs, but I would like to put it in my 6.5 qt hamilton beach roaster oven. My roaster oven does not have an insert tray. What temperature do i cook this at and for how long and will the roast burn w/o the insert tray? |

I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you it is a 4 lb roast. |

The HB roaster oven has a crock/pan if I am thinking of the same appliance. Set it on 190 for low or 280 for high to approximate the regular crockpot, and the time should be the same as your original recipe. You do not need an insert tray. You DO need to PAM the crock/ cookwell thoroughly before adding the meat. |
