I am having trouble deciding how much meat I should get for this party.. around 150 people. other appetizers will be there too. i am having roasted whole turkey and beef tenderloin- any help would be wonderful! |

Is this at dinnertime? Caterers allow 4-5 ounces ready to eat cooked beef PLUS 3 ounces of the second meat for buffet service. If yoou are going to do self service, you must let the roast sit and thin-slice it yourself- if the guests carve, you will have much more taken. So you are looking at about 50 pounds raw trimmed-ready-to-roast tenderloin and 38 pounds boneless raw turkey breast for 150 people. If you have a lot of meaty type appetizers, you can cut back some, but people do tend to eat a lot of meat. |

okay- so I was thinking about getting about 3 15 pound turkeys... is it just the turkey breast you are measuring by the pound? i really appreciate your help! |

ps. yes this is dinner and we will have also have potatoes and a few apps then a vgetarian option. now the number has gone up to almost 200! |
