I am preparing dinner for 75 hungry high school football players next week. I thought I'd make meatloaf and cheesy potatoes. Do you have a good, easy recipe for this? How many pounds of ground beef and how long would I cook the meatloaf? |

If you prepare for 100, you will have plenty, and the nice thing about meatloaf is, it freezes beautifully. For the cheesy potatoes, I would prepare 1 1/2 to 2 roasters full, using a recipe like cheesy potaoes in an electric roaster from the thread on June 28. For the meatloaf, use your favorite recipe, just make enough to use up to 32-35 pounds of ground meat. I use part ground turkey- if less than 1/4 the total, cuts the fat and does not hurt the flavor. |
