Has anyone heard of a glass cooktop melting? We had one that melted a pit into the cooktop and cracked around it. Is this an on going problem? |

Yes, especially if sugar is spilled on or boiled over on a stove top. |

I have a glass top stove and have taken and slid my pressure cooker over the burner which caused that part to turn white in spots. Is there anything I can get to clean the surface to hopefully remove that as I think it had happened before but I can't remember what I did. Thank you |

This is a fairly common problem, and nobody has suggested a good solution. These tops really don't tolerate sliding, do they? |
