I will be serving beef lasagna and bun at my house as part of a progressive dinner party for 20 people. Salads, desserts and appetiizers will be served at other houses. How can I garnish the dish with the sole lasagna on it? Should I serve non alcholic wine seeing that my guests do not drink? Should I do buffet style or should I serve them myself? |

Here is what I would do about the lasagna: instead of one giant pan, I would put the lasagna in 3 9x13 pans, (I would do two red and one vegetarian white, but you could do 3 red), serve buffet style with the pans cut into 8 or ten servings each. I would serve a basket of good bread along side, garlic and plain, or breadsticks, something like that. This will fill your buffet table and be easier to serve, plus make prettier servings. I make deep pan lasagna for family, but shallower for company- it cooks faster and serves easier. For a beverage you could serve a non-alcoholic wine, but a good iced tea and coffee would be just as pleasant and appropriate and much less expensive. Or how about an Italian sparkling water as a choice? I love Pelligrino. I am not sure what bun is? |
