I have to make noodles for 75 football players. Actually it's chicken and noodles but the chicken is being donated by a pizza shop. The say the chicken is rather bland how can I season that up and also how many bags of noodles would I need to feed the boys. I thought about getting the frozen thicker noodles, should I use all chicken broth or cut that with some water? Thanks for your help |

Assuming high school, I would just count them as 100 people; take a look at the spaghetti/lotsa pasta page for some discussion of the amounts. The frozen fresh ones are more complicated- if it says 6 servings, count it as 3-4. I am uncertain what the chicken is of if it is cooked? If more or less fried, I would season it up with some seasoned salt and herb mixes, then make a whole lot of flavorful chicken gravy and simmer it all covered in roasting pans in the ovenm or in 2 Nesco roasters until it made, basically, chicken fricassee- great with the noodles. If tomato-ish, go with italian seasoning and garlic, use a nice chunky tomato sauce/ gravy and stir in grated Parmesan, maybe some canned mushrooms, make a chicken cacciatore style stew. In either case, you want about 12-14 pounds of French bread for filling up those empty corners. You need at least 6 pounds of pieces. Hope this helps. |
