I just moved and now have a smooth top electric range. I also have cats and worry about them stepping on the hot surface. Do they make covers for smooth top ranges and if so, where can I buy them? Thanks so much! |

The problem is, a cloth cover or try can burn, and also the issi]ue of turnung it on. My dad burns up about two covers a year on his electric range and if you turned this on on a smooth top, it could melt it right into the top- this has happened to readers with enamel pans and teapots. You might try a coupl of large cookie- cooling racks= the mesh grid type ones. Kitty would not like walking on these. |
