I am using a 5lb bag of cornbread to make big batch of cornbread, but not sure how long i need to cook it. the recipe only includes a 2 cup portion, I need to make two large pans.I know that I should multiply the recipe, but I need to figure the time and temp i should bake at. Help anyone?

Suste, 5 pounds of a complete cornbread mix only makes ONE full sheet= 18x26 inches, which is 64 2"x3" pieces (cut 8x8).

Standard Preparation Instructions: For 5 lb. of mix - using a mixing bowl and a paddle, place mix into the bowl. Start mixer on a low speed then add 3 cups of water and allow it to mix in. Once incorporated, add another 3 cups of water and mix on medium speed until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Pour batter into greased full sheet pan, being careful not to overfill – fill pan about halfway.
Conventional Oven Baking Instructions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake for about 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and place onto a cooling rack

Your particular mix may use more liquid.

5 pounds 26x18 pan, makes 8 pounds batter, makes 64 2x3 inch pieces.
