Normally, modern dishes that CAN be used in the oven say "freezer, oven, microwave-safe" on the bottom of the plate.

How do I contact the maker of hometrend dishes directly? I bought some dishes at Walmart. On the bottom they say microwave safe. THIS IS FALSE. If you even warm them up for 1 minute in the microwave you will be burned badly! It has happened to me and my kids.

Okay, everybody ... I tracked down the supplier for Wal-Mart's (Home Trends) "West Palm" dinnerware! Call Gibson at (800)281-2810, and ask for Sheila at X210.
The Item # is 50047.16
The Bar Code # is 1-10085081730364
There is a shipping charge of $14.95.
You can also email Anne Smith at Wal-Mart customer service: Anne.Smith@wal-mart.com and ask that the dinnerware be "traited" to the Wal-Mart where you shop. That will put it back in their system, and they can order it for you.

FYI for you, Home Trends is a private label for Wal-Mart.
Some items are created as regional items only, thus the requests when customers see a pattern on vacation or relocates and cannot find it "locally". Some items are still available due to quantity manufactured, but no guarantee.
(We) do not have a (centralized)listing of which items are still available.
Anne Smith does not work with dinnerware anymore. Please remove her name as a contact.

I also have the "Home trends Farm Fresh" dinnerware. I just love them but, HELP. I broke a cup and my Walmart doesn't carry them anymore. I got the last two sets on clearance. I am in the need of replacing it and maybe getting a whole new set

Walmart has hometrends by Gibson. The pattern I like is Shadow Wood. The sets of dishes themselves is available at my local Wal-Mart, but the matching serving pieces are no longer available at Wal-Mart. I have checked all my local stores and even walmart.com. Is there any way to get the matching serving pieces???
My kitchen is done in fall colors and leaves. If you have a suggestion of another pattern in any brand that has both a oak, maple, burch type leaf pattern and fall colors with matching serving pieces, I would be interested in looking into it.

Short of going to Replacements Limited and paying per piece almost what the whole set cost, maybe you all need to sell to each other and consolidate. Home Trends patterns are regional, made especially for Walmart and when they are gone, according to Walmart central, they are gone. Sorry for the disappointing news-

I just bought service for 12 of HomeTrends Shadow Wood, plus 2 extra dinner size plates and 2 extra bowls just in case.
My Walmarts store had quite a few boxes of this pattern that I would be happy to pick up for those who want it, however, I'm not sure of what the shipping charges would be as the boxes are quite heavy, or if the dishes are packed securely enough for shipping.
I did ask the manager of my store about the serving pieces and she said she'll check for me regarding availability. I'll post if she can get them.

Some home trend items can be found at replacements.com. But of course not the ones I am looking for. I dont know the name of them, the have a purple/blue line around the edge then a light blue rim with a puple center with fruit on them. they look hand painted. where can I find them?

I too have had a problem with burning my fingers after heating a cup of water in the microwave. Be aware of this... I am also dissappointed with the quality of the tea/coffee cup I purchased. Most of the (12 cups) I have have craps/chips out of them already. They do not hold up well. The pastes and bowls on the other hand are fantastic.

I am having a very similiar problem locating extras for the Shadow Wood pattern of dishes. I am in desperate need of the canister set and the pitcher. The local Walmarts are still carrying the dishes as individual pieces and the box sets, but I haven't had any luck locating the pieces that I need. I will be more than happy to purchase and ship dishes.

I'm another one in the looking for "Shadow Wood" group. I want any and all things in this pattern. I have one cup that I grabbed at our local Walmart today. They were completely out of everything but two cups (one was chipped so I only bought one) and some individual dinner plates.
I know I saw the "Jazz" collection locally so if they have the pieces someone needs, maybe we can work out an exchange. If not, I am willing to pay for the dishes plus shipping if someone(s) are kind enough to help me in locating this set.
Total, I am aiming for three boxes of the regular dishes and at least one of every accessory piece (canisters, matching cups, serving plates, etc etc).

I am also searching for pieces of the "Shadow Woods" collection. I live in Vermont and they always seem to have the dishes but, everytime I go to Walmart I look for other pieces and can never find anything. I have had this set since November of last year and love it. My kitchen is done in Autumn Maple (dark red) and it goes perfectly with this set. Please if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

I too have the Shadow Woods collection, I accidently fell across the accesories on clearance several months ago. I am just looking for the 16pc set, so i have enough to serve 8 people. :o) I have the sugar & cream bowls, salad bowl, serving platter, the canisters, and the salt and pepper shakers...now to complete it i just need those dishes. i don't want to have to get a different set to be able to serve more than 4 people. so if anyone runs across the dishes let me know, i'll keep an eye out here in FL for the extra pieces for everyone else. i only have 5 or more Walmarts in a 20 mile range...

I have the Italian Villa dishes as well. I'm not sure they even make serving pieces for it. I did find the 3 piece canister set at several Houston area Walmarts. I've decided to get some solid colored pieces. Walmart has a few, and I found some pieces at Garden Ridge that coordinate nicely. They're by Corsica, and both the "butter" and "Cherry" colors work well. They are on clearance though, so good luck!

Went to Wal-Mart (Chambers Road, Aurora Colorado) today and they have about a dozen or so dinner plates, 8 bowls, a bunch of mugs and 1 canister set in the Shadowwood pattern.
I have this pattern and mixed and matched the dinner plates with the Country Crock Speckled Amber salad plates, mugs and canister set - outstanding look! For those of you who cannot find your pieces, this might be an option...

Hi everyone. My wife and I recently purchased the Italian Villa dinnerware by Home Trends at our local WalmartSupercenter in St. Marys, PA. They have plenty of Villa sets and replacement pieces...but they don't have the cannisters or completer sets. We'd really like to get these...as we really like the dinnerware. I have the Italian Villa dinnerware set. I have enough for 8 people. My Walmart still carries the sets and the dinnerplates, bowls, and mugs individually. I was searching for Italian Villa pieces, and ran across this site. I've read the messages here and just saw some Granada pieces on Ebay.
I don't know if I can send the links. So, I'll just tell you how to find them.
I put Home Trends dishes in the search, check the box for search title and description. That came back with 68 items. There were two auctions. One for a serving dish and one for some plates.
That's not the style I'm interested in at all. But, I saw several people here are in need of that. I hope this helps.

Home trends dishes iTALIAN VILLA and something els
Wal-mart on hwy 50 in Spring Hill today had Italian Villa plates 2.33, bowls 1.68, mugs (I didn't get the price), crockpot (I don't know the price, and 3-pc canister set for $24 approx. I only wrote down the prices because I like the set and was thinking of getting it, but without saucers I wanted to check availability before I purchased. I guess I won't be getting them after checking out this site and seeing the availability difficulties.
They also had a pattern with pine branches and leaves I believe, but I didn't check the name. Anyone have a picture of shadow wood?
I have 2 of the mugs with the fruit and like them for size and such. They don't get too hot in the micro if I set them on beverage setting. One of my cups had a chip of the ceramic inside and was glazed over. Later the chip broke off and left an exposed spot so it bubbles everytime I put water in it. Quite strange. I'm not sure if it's even safe in regards to sanitation, but I love the look of them. The quality isn't great on these, but they are pretty durable.

I have this collection as well and made a comment to my daughter @ Thanksgiving about not being able to find anymore. She swore the WalMart near her home had plenty and she was right!!!

As far as the microwave safe message on the dishes. Microwave safe just means that the dishes will not shatter in the microwave when being heated. Non Safe microwave dishes will break from the heat generated internally in the dish. If you read the packing information that comes with the dishes it does state that the dishes are microwave and dishwasher safe. But it also states that when using them in the microwave to use a pot holder to remove them as they may be hot to the touch.

I just purchased the HomeTrends "Italian Villa" set here in Lithonia, Georgia. I bought (2) canister sets -they have plenty-!! I am going back today to get the dinnerware set after a furniture delivery this afternoon. I just moved here from Florida. They did have loose pieces (mugs/saucers/bowls). I see that "Veranda" set has everything, including the serving set and salt and pepper shakers! I'd love that for my "Italian Villa" set bcz buying a mug stand is no problem. If anyone finds the serving set or salt and pepper shakers in "Italian Villa" let me know please. Again, I am going back to SuperWalMart today after a furniture delivery this afternoon.

I have the following in the Granada pattern.
10 dinner plates, a few have chips but there are likely 8 that do not.
8 bowls
9 mugs most have chips
11 small plates
I have the 3 piece bowl set. The two smaller bowls are in pretty good shape although one has two very small chips in the rim. The larger bowl has a noticible chip and seems to have a crack.
I have a very large oval platter, a large round platter, a pitcher, a lasagna pan, sugar and creamer, a small oval platter, and the 3 piece cannister set. All of these are in very good condiion and seldom, if ever used (except for the cannister set which has been used but is in very good condition).

For those of you who have the Jazz dishes I found a set of dishes that compliment this pattern perfectly. It is Sango Gold Dust Black. It can be purchased at Herburgers. I also found it at Macie's and a Kitchen store. I have been holding off on purchasing accessory pieces in this style until I heard about accessory pieces for Jazz. No one has responded to our messages and I still do not know if they are available. If anyone else has any other suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. I still would like place mats and linens. Any ideas of these?

I also just purchased a couple of sets of the Jazz dinnerware. I had intended to buy the Sango Gold Dust Black dishes until I spotted the Jazz in my local Wal-Mart. I was thinking that if I can't find any completer pieces for the Jazz, I will get them in the Sango Gold Dust Black. I will continue to search the internet for the Home Trends Jazz as well as contact Wal-Mart and will post if I find any source of extra pieces.

I just bought 2 boxs of the 16 piece set of Jazz dinnerware at Walmart. I cannot find the completer set or any matching pieces, like a sugar bowl, or creamer. If anyone know of them please email me.
Also if any of you are intrested the Sago Prestige patter is a very nice match, better than the Sago Gold Dusk Black. They sell it on line at Linen's and things or at their store. I still would like the matching ones though to Jazz. Thanks

I did notice that fiesta ware makes a black that may work ok for accent pieces such as butter dish, salt and pepper and serving pieces Does anyone know where a could buy the set that has serving pieces? I wouldn't mind if it has another 16 piece place setting included.

We have 2 Wal-Marts in our town about 4 miles apart. I just returned from one of them and they have Italian Villa in the following pieces. Serving Bowls (4) (large) $9.86 each,
Rectangular Platter 9 X 20 (3) 12.86 each. Dinner plates (7) $2.43 ea, cups (4) $1.77 ea, small bowl (10) (1.77 ea. They also have a crock pot by Rival that matches the design of Italian Villa only the design is smaller and the take out part is the burgandy color. The item# on it is SCVE500-A2, $29.88 and this piece can probably be ordered directly from Rival, I'm not sure. If you want any of these let me know and I'll purchase them, hold them until I receive your cashier's check or money order and then send them to you. I am not sure how much shipping would be. I believe our Texas store had some also, and I know they had several canister sets, however I do not remember how much they were. I will check tomorrow for anyone interested. Mona

Following is a note I received from Jennifer Lawson at Wal-mart concerning lead in the Jazz and Italian Villa dinnerware.
Mona,
Sango is a brand that is found is a few hundred of our stores. (It is excellent quality.) We carry Sango in 2 patterns in two colors each; all pieces carried mix and match. The main difference comes in when you look at our retail and other stores retails...WOW!!!
As for lead in the dinnerware...lead is a naturally occurring substance that is found in many places including drinking water.
All of our dinnerware meets federal guidelines and meet California's prop 65 as well. Prop 65 was passed a couple of years ago (if my memory serves me well) and has 'tougher' guidelines than federal.
If you are looking for dinnerware that does not contain lead, look for glass...but please watch as there is also leaded glass as well. (We do not carry leaded glass in our dinnerware).
As a company, we are concerned with customer safety!!

I need to comment on the Home Trends dishes from WalMart, and my dissatisfaction with them. I've had them for only about 6 months, and "almost" every bowl and plate that I have has chips and cracks in them. I am soooo disappointed that they aren't more durable. Also, the microwavable thing...my children and I have ALL burnt our hands and fingers several times on the dishes after microwaving them. Microwave safe?? I think not...
The pattern I have is the yellow with the fruit on it (forgot the name).
I was actually looking for a web site for the manufacturer so that I could voice my opinion on the quality of these dishes.
Just wanted to give my two cents!

we received dishes from our wedding registry bought at Target. With all the 'china' recalls i decided to call about the dishes and inquire to Target whether they had lead in their paint. Its the Jade Moon 16-pc. Dinnerware Set and it was brought to my attention that it looked like paint used in ceramic pieces that often contained lead. When finally i got thru to a customer service rep w/ Target. They told me that this dinnerware, as with all their products, passes the highest quality and health inspections. She could not tell me for sure if it had lead though!???

I was wondering if the Oh, La, La, Chicken pattern I am looking for is part of the farm fresh pattern.. It is white with blue, green and sage stripes. Could you check at your Walmart stores for the pattern as the national does not keep track of individual store inventory of discontinued items.

I want to purchase a cansiter set to match the Italian Villa Home trends set of dishes. They carry these everyday in Lafayette Ga but only single pieces and boxed sets of a place setting. Shadow Wood dishes
I had been looking for these too, and had one set, but was worried about not having any replacement pieces should any break. Then I came across this site, and saw that they were discontinued :( Yesterday I was at Walmart, and there was a whole endcap of 11 sets! I bought one, as they were only $20. They aren't carrying the pieces individually anymore from what I could see, but I had wondered if anyone on this forum would be interested. The only problem I see is shipping, as I live near Portland Oregon, where I saw the dishes. If you would be interested, I would check to see if that store has any left. Like another writer mentioned, the shipping would be spendy I imagine, as the box is indeed heavy, at 30#. When I bought my first set, I checked through the set, because the writer is correct as well, that they aren't padded very well. I had to go through several sets at that time, before I found one without breakage. I would definitely need to repackage, and pad very securely to survive that distance.The box they come in is NOT suitable for shipping. I have no idea if that would be worth it to you, but I thought I'd at least put the word out that I'd seen some, as I didn't think I would again. I bought 2 boxes (service for 8) of Shadow Wood and just unpacked and washed them in the dishwasher. In unloading found out they don't fit in my cabinets!! I'm either going to sell them (if any of you are interested let me know) or just put what I can in my pantry.
If I end up keeping them, I, too would be interested in other serving pieces.

I would be wanting to sell both sets as one wouldn't be of any use to me. Let me check around regarding the value/price so I can give you more concrete information. Well, Replacements, Ltd., offered me $200.00 for the 8 place setting (New); however, they want me to pay for all the packing and shipping and do not guarantee they will accept it. They also have very specific and stringent packaging rules which I think are good; however, very expensive for me. So, if anybody is interested in the dinnerware and paying for the S/H, let me know. Please give me your opinion! In wasnat
walmart today and fell in love w/the Jazz collection. Anyone that has used this, please let me know the performance. They did have "bakeware" and a serving platter (3) but all mof the serving platters had scratches on the black part of then pattern. Do the dishes scratch easily? Also it sounds like finding accessory pieces is next to impossible!n Shame on Walmart for not making a line more accessible!

I have twelve(12) place settings of West Palm and three (3) additional dinner plates. Two or three of the dinner plates have small chips. I've seen looking for someone selling these on ebay but it seems no one is selling theirs. I've moved and the palm trees don't match my new kitchen. Otherwise, I love them. The mugs (not small cups with useless saucers) are a good size and the bowls were perfect for soup (nice and deep). Luncheon plates are a sized right too. Let me know if anyone is interested. Becky, what dishes? Some of the older home trends tested positive. You can easily and safely test at home. The supplier has not been reachable by any consumers and Walmart has not been much help.

I bought 2 sets of Jazz dishes in July (at Walmart). At the time, they had serving bowls and platters. I bought a platter, but decided to wait till the next trip for the bowls and I have never seen them again. They still have several platters left, but they are quite large, so I only need 1. Wish I would have bought 2 serving bowls while I had the chance! I have read a few listings that say there is a box that has a set of dishes and serving pieces included, does anyone know where that might be?

I am hoping someone can help me find these dishes, they are a kind of cream color with rust colored leaves around the edges. They also had wine glasses with the fall leaves on them. I got them at walmart about three years ago, my home burned last year and I want to replace these dishes, any help is appreciated.

BTW, I think the set was called Autumn Leaves and that it was Hometrends, they also had bowls you could buy seperatly. I really loved these dishes and stemware, so if anyone can help me or tell me how to contact someone from Walmart with this inquiry it would be wonderful. Iremember going to a lot of Walmarts to complete my set, it was like a quest, I loved them that much!

In regards to additional pieces avaiable in the Jazz pattern. There is select bakeware available at Wal-Mart along with a serving platter. In February/March there will be serving bowls and a relish tray. I contacted Ms. Lawson (Jennifer.Lawson@wal-mart.com) and she did an analysis and told me which stores closest to me had the pieces.

Stoneware Gold Dinner Plate (Sold at Walmart)
I just bought 4 Stoneware Gold Dinner plates from Walmart today and need 6. I've driven to 9 stores and called all others in a 70 mile radius from me. They are a gold/mustard color and were sold for Thanksgiving and now are on clearance for $1.50. I love these and need 2 more. Any ideas how I can find them? Their not on their website either. Their just plain gold/mustard clor!
