Chipped edge of cook top

My wife dropped a can of tomato soup on the edge of our cook top and chipped a small piece off. Do you know of anything we could do to fill this area in as well as seal it?

Heat resistant epoxy such as used on engine blocks is an option only if it does not involve any coil or electrical element. Used like spackle and sand down to the cooktop. Be VERY CAREFUL not to sand or scratch the cooktop.
