I am going vegetarian, and I would like ideas for seasoning turnip greens without using meat. Maybe evern a recipe that a meat-eater would like?

You want some onion and garlic, of course, and I suggest you frizzle them in some oil or olive oil for color and flavor. I like a bunch of fresh patsley (flat leaf, leaf only) chopped up and stirred in. Or a leek if you are going uptown.

Then a couple teaspoons of vegetarian broth mix or vegetarian Worcestershure sauce, maybe some shakes of hot sauce (or you could have added some sliced jalapenos when you started cooking). There are soy based bacon bits that could be sprinkled over or stirred in, but try several brands. some are much better than others- or make them yourself, see my recipe. Its on the slaws for 100 page: bigpots/plan/slaws100.html#soybits
