Surprise 50th for 100 quantity tips please!

I am planning a suprise 50th for my husband and am doing the catering myself. I need help with quantities. Because the venue does not have very good kitchen facilities I am limited to heating or reheating food.
I have decided that pre dinner snaks will all be cold finger food bite size approx 3 per person. Is this enough.
Dinner will comprise of a whole hogget on a spit, ham on the bone, shrimps.
From here I am stumped.
i want to do one curry & rice, a vegy bake (1 hot vegetable dish) to keep it simple and some salads. Can anyone tell me how much I should make. Desert will be Pavalova & fruit with the Bday cake.

Drinks - Alcohlic (please remember this is NZ)
I am planing a combination of wine beer and spirits can you help with quantities the party starts at 5pm - Diner at 6pm and then party on until at least midnight.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards Donna

There are several good rice dishes for 100 in the Big Pots section, the link is about halfway down the page. I also have a curry rice mix that makes 25 servings, you could make 4 of this.

Consider a cold veggie dish such as my artichoke condite, marinated veggies antipasto style, a 4 bean salad, instead of the baked veggies, you will run out of oven.

Look at the beverages planning page in the Big Pots planning section, all kinds of info about the party, including alcoholic. This is a long party, and you usually allow 2 drinks the first hour, then 1 each following hour, at least that is US catering allowance, but no more than 5 per person because of the legal liability of the host.

Look at the appetizer planning page for some ideas. You might consider using 2 large crock pots or an 18 quart roaster to serve a hot dip- it is winter in NZ, isn't it?

Happy Birthday, Ellen
