Frozen vs. fresh potatoes
I have a recipe for hashbrown casserole that calls for frozen hashbrowns. Could I use fresh shredded potatoes instead? If so should i use red potatoes or idaho and is there anything i would need to do to them?
To make this dish successfully, you need to shred and blanch the potatoes as if for freezing, this is described in detail in my OAMC potato recipes.
