ELLEN'S KITCHEN
Shrimp and Crab Boil
Brie
08/29/11
I am doing a crab boil for my wedding party as a thank you. There will be about 20 adults and 2 kids. I am also doing some steaks for the people with shellfish allergies or that just are not that fond of shrimp and crab legs. There is 5 people who I believe will be eating steaks and some shrimp but not the crab legs. Can you let me know how many lbs of crab legs and shrimp I should get for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also am not sure what size crab legs I should get.

You want at least 1/2 pound shelled shrimp per shrimp eater, plus 1/2 pound crab legs per crab leg eater. The crab legs are usually Dungeness or King (Alaskan); the King are the bigger ones.
