Hi Ellen - I need to scale a pesto recipe of mine, but I'm not sure exactly how much I will need. We are cooking about 22 lbs of orichette pasta. How many cups of pesto do you think we need to adequately coat it? A half cup per pound or more? The salad is going to just be the pasta and pesto - pretty basic. Thanks! Mairin

I make a pesto recipe with about 2 1/2 cups of basil/oregano plus the rest of the things for 1 pound of pasta for salad.
Cherry or grape tomatoes are very pretty in this salad...

Is the yield of that recipe about 3/4 of a cup of prepared pesto then??
