preparing appetizers for wedding (300)
My daughter is getting married in July and we plan to have appetizers and salads for the reception. Money is an issue so we are looking for ideas to keeps things low on cost but feed 300 people. How do we figure out how much we need to have of everything for 300 people? Any help would be appreciated!

It depends on the time of day of the ceremony, as a 1 PM service with afternoon reception uses half the food of an 11/12 or 5/6 ceremony. So I nee more detials

However, with a restricted budget, you should be looking at a smaller party. You have to expect to spend about what you would spend for a restaurant meal for each person. For example, it takes 3-4 people in the kitchen and a MINIMUM of 15-18 servers to set up, serve and clean up a buffet service party this size (appetizers actually take more people than regular food), and they are usually paid about $100 per person.
