Is $5.99 a pound for cornbeef expensive. I have purchasing 20 pounds which costs $120 is that a lot?

It is a little high for raw unless it is premium beautifully trimmed flat cut. It is not high for ready to eat. However, you may be able to negotiate with the butcher for a little discount.
