Make ahead Mashed Potatoes

I would like to know if I make Mashed potaotes ahead of time,could I use my roaster to warm them up for next day. This weekend in Canada is Thanksgiving . My oven will be roasting the turkey.I would like to be able to use my elecrtic oven for the mashed poatoes. I think I can make the potaotoes day before and than use it like a slow cooker to warm them up at 250 degrees. Could you supply or confirm a COOKING TIME for the warm up procedure?
