Having a 50's party. Need to now how much root beer and ice cream for 50 people.

Depends a lots on the rest of the menu, but if you don't want to run out and don't mind leftovers, get 3 1/2 to 4 gallons of ice cream total and 2 liters root beer for each 5 people. Get some sugar free root beer and ice cream for the low carbers.
