hello ellen, i have a kenmore glass top stove, on one of the burners there is a small chip. should i try repairing it? or,just leave it? i thought of using a black marker to cover the chip, but, i wanted to find out if that's okay. otherwise, the stove works great.
thanks

hi ellen, i have a kenmore glass top stove. there is a small chip on one of the burners. should i try repairing it? or, just leave it? it doesn't seem to effect the cooking process. i thought of using a black marker to cover the chip. what do you think?

No way to mend it, and it will eventually start a crack requiring replacement of the glass. It is safe to use in the meantime, but you may want to use the other burners to prolong the life of the top. No reason not to try the magic marker, but I would use a sharpie or one of the other permanent ones- it won't be permanent on glass.
