I have an electric rival roaster, do i close the little vent on the lid when roasting a turkey?
HELP!

Yes. It will not brown as well in the roaster, if this matters to you, put it in a 500 degree preheated oven for about 20 minutes before roasting.

I have a 25 lb turkey and an 18 quart roaster, will it cook in that if I can close the lid?

Not really safe- top gets not enough heat. Put turkey in oven and side dishes in roaster, or quarter the turkey so it fits completely inside the roaster.
