Hi Ellen,
I'm making Strawberry Shortcake for 50. I did a search on your site for how many lbs of berries to buy. (Local Lions Club selling 14lb and 26lb boxes for sliced strawberries.) Thank you!

Ellen, I just a site that told me:
1½ lbs = 1 Quart (3 3/4 cups) Strawberries or 2 1/4 cups sliced. Thanks!

Hi!
I am searching for how many lbs. or ounces of strawberries I would need to make strawberry shortcake for 150 people? Also, how much Cool Whip would be necessary? Thanks so much!

Use the numbers just above. Make one shortcake according to your plan, MEASURE the berries, then figure out how many quarts or pounds you need- people vary a great deal in how much strawberry they put on their shortcake.
Use a measuring cup or scoop to serve, or you may run out.
I would not use Cool Whip, I would use real whip cream in he spray can. Either one has the number of tablespoons or cups on the side of the can, Allow 4 tablespoons or 1/4 cup per person, and add a couple of extra cans/tubs; people get a little generous serving.
