I'm throwing a party for 75. Besides 3 salads and 2 appetizers, I will have 5 entrees, bbq chicken pieces, grilled shrimp kebabs, baby back ribs, burgers and hot dogs. how much of each will I need?

Emma, you have too many entrees to make it easy to estimate for this many people. However, you want a minimum of 7 ounces cooked, ready to eat meat per person. People eat more and some of each when there are several entrees.

I would not even bother with the hot dogs. The kids can eat chicken legs equally happily, if that is the reason for them, and grownups are NOT going to pick dogs over shrimp and ribs.

The shrimp is the ringer, because people basically will eat all you serve, Make sure you have 1 skewer per person plus 1/3 to 1/2 more (depends on the size of the skewers). At least 3-4 ounces per person.

Since 1 pound of raw ribs is one person, I would have a half serving per person, or about 35 pounds.

About 50 burgers (12-15 pounds meat). About 30 pounds of chicken pieces or 40 pounds of quarters.
