i am having a wedding reception in june and i have about 200 people coming.I will be cooking most of the food myself how much will i need of these food items.i am making mearballs,wings and cocktail winers plus i will have side dishes too but how much of each meats will i need.please help im lost

Kim, please read my article "wedding dinner", button at the top of the main cook talk page before you go any further. Beyond the cooking, you need 15 people or more to set up, prep, serve and cleanup this size meal function on the day of the party. 200 people is really too many for an inexperienced person; please consider a smaller guest list or a non-meal function if you are doing this yourself.

Also look at the appetizer planning section.

That said, you need to tell me whether this is over a meal time. If it is a between meal function and people ate before they came, you only need about 2/3 as much food as if it is over a meal time or they did not eat- so, for example, an 11/12 wedding has a meals' wrth of food needed, but a 1 pm wedding has the lighter reception level needed, because people will have eaten before they came. So write back and I will try to help.
