Victor, sodas depend on what other beverages are served- see the beverage planning page for full advice.
Rice depends on side vs main diush. For side servings, about 8 pounds per 100 people.

Denise, there is a useful guide for you on the beverage planning page. If you want success on a hot day, make sure the ingredients are all chilled before you mix them. There is also a "punch" thread with ideas and links for recipes.

Did you look at the beverage planning page? It will also help with ice, etc.About half of an adult crowd usually opts for soda.
