How much does one pound of potatoes serve? I'm trying to figure out how much german potato salad to make for a group of people. Thanks!

I use arecipe with 30-35 pounds for 100 people. I have a German potato salad recipe for 100 posted. You would nee about 2/3.

i would like to know how long and at what temperature would i cook potatoes wraped in foil and layered in the electric roaster. hope there is an answere. thanks

Phil people love these, I allow 1/2 pound raw potato per person when making for buffet. You can do 1 pound for 3 people if yoou are plating the meal, not self serve.

Ellen,
I am ordering mashed potatoes from Walmart deli for a wedding reception this Saturday 10/13. We are unsure of how many to order. Will 80 lbs of mashed potatoes be enough? Also how much gravy will I need?

Karen, you do not say how many people? 40 pounds is pkenty for 100 people- gravy 1/4 to 1/3 cup per person depending on whether it is just for the potatoes or also for the meat.
